Going On — Small Moments

smallmoments

I woke up this morning and realized how quickly these days are flying past me.

I have never been more grateful for this little camera on my phone because these moments are memories. And I don’t want to forget a single one. No matter how small or insignificant they may seem.

I started Love Note book for my girls today.

The idea is simple. I write them a note and they write back. Questions, thoughts, general musings. It all goes in. And when I look back years from now at these simple words on theย pages. I will be forever grateful that I took the time to express to my girls how much they mean to me. I intend to keep up with these notebooks through the years — hopefully cultivating the type of relationship that I always wanted with my own mother.

This week — and last — has been a whirlwind of the best kind. Reading to 1st grade class. Attending 2nd grade end of the year plays.

Caramel Ribbon Crunch (my favorite) to celebrate MY awesomeness.

Planting some gorgeous calla lilies — another of my favorites.

Getting this drawing from one of my little ladies. I think I’m the one with my midriff out.

Rearranging pillows — cause that’s what I do best.

Finally reading the books that have been on my list FOREVER.

Trying to decide how I feel about this pillow that I spent all night DIY-ing.

Sunset walks with my girls are always the best way to end the day.

Those are the moments of my life lately.

  1. Found you while looking at interior decorating blogs. I can really relate to the value of the small moments. They become so huge in our hearts with our children growing up so quickly, don’t they?! My fourth and youngest son is off to kindergarten next year and I am going to soak up every little moment I can with him this summer! Sending my best to you and your family!
