Making a Statement With One Kings Lane Home Decor Resource

What I love most about furniture is that it speaks volumes. It says something about the house it’s in. It tells the personality of the people who use it at a glance. Furniture speaks to who you are without you even having to say a word.

And nothing makes a bigger statement than a statement chair.

If you were to walk into my home and see my giant purple people eaters, they would immediately tell you that I like structure. The lines would tell you that I’m a bit traditional. And the color would let you know that I have a love for the contemporary.

What I love most about my chairs is their color. They’re in the same vein as Pantone’s color of the year (Radiant Orchid!). I knew I was onto something when I picked these babies out.

They’re insanely comfortable and call me to come curl up with a movie and a cup of cocoa.

Though my chairs are eggplant (who am I kidding, they’re purple!), they become an accent instead of the centerpiece because of their classic lines. Deciding whether a chair is going to be an accent or the focal point makes decorating the rest of the room a lot easier.

I took a look at One Kings Lane Home Decor Resource and it’s loaded with inspiration for using statement pieces in your home.  If you’re still figuring out your style (like me) then this resource is a great guide.

Whether you’re pinpointing your style or researching how to reupholster grandma’s chair, start with One Kings Lane Home Decor Resource.
